Tricycle Races

The Tricycle Races take place Saturday August 31 on East Laurel Street. Entrants gather at 9:30 for sign-ups and the races start at 10am.   There are 4 divisions: 0-2 year olds, 3-4, and 5-6.  Prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place in each division.  To sign up go to Tricycle Race

Kiddie Parade

The Kiddie Parade is a free, short, fun parade that happens right after the tricycle race at East Laurel and Franklin Streets . Registration begins at 11am and the parade generally starts at 11:30. Entrants are grouped by age: 0-4, 5-9 and 10-12. Participants can choose to come in costume and/or build floats for the 80 years of Memories with Paul and Babe theme.  To sign up in advance go to Kiddie Parade

Fireman’s Water Fight

Watch teams in uniforms use fire hoses to fire water at barrels – and sometimes each other – in attempt to move the drums across the pavement on Saturday at 1 on the 800 block of Stewart Street. This free event attracts hundreds of spectators to watch firefighters from Fort Bragg, Willits, Comptche, Cal Fire and the Coast Guard compete.

Paul Bunyan Labor Day Parade

The parade is on Labor Day; September 1 it begins at 12 noon; participants start checking in at the Pine Street Skunk Train parking lot at 10.
