The annual Waves & Whales 5K Trail Run‐Walk in Point Arena. Run takes place on the Point Arena-Stornetta Unit of the California Coastal National Monument, Saturday, May 11. The course begins behind City Hall in the conifer forest off Highway 1, makes its way to the coast where it follows the bluffs, and then winds back into the pine and cypress forest.  To register go to Waves & Whales Run and or more information on the run go to ACORN School

Hikers and dogs welcome. Dogs must be on leash. Participants receive cotton t-shirt and snacks. Register early ensure a t-shirt in your size  Day-of registration available on-site beginning at 8:30 am. Age categories and hand-made 1st place awards Awards ceremony begins at 11:00.  Proceeds from the run will support ACORN’s environmental stewardship program, Students Protecting the Coast.
