What Washed Ashore in 2025?

December 17 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Wednesday, December 17, be at the Noyo Center Marine Field Station with Sarah Grimes and Sara Sundberg, the lead members of the Marine Mammal Stranding Team for Noyo Center, and find out WHAT and WHO washed ashore in 2025.  Did you know that the Noyo Center collections team has contributed 292 specimens to the California Academy of Sciences collection? Get a behind the scenes look at some of the newest, including a purple sea otter skull (find out why it is purple!) and a Risso’s Dolphin.  Following the presentation, there will be an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the work of the West Coast Marine Mammal Stranding Network and why it is such a valuable scientific resource.
