Tax Preparation Help
February 26 @ 8:30 am - 11:30 am
The Ukiah Senior Center is offering tax preparation help Monday and Wednesday mornings from 8:30 to 11:30, on a first come, first served basis though April 15. Be sure to bring photo identification with you as well as yearly forms and documents showing income. Bring last year’s return, driver’s license or other photo identification, social security cards for all family members and all forms reporting income such as W-2s, SSI forms, 1099 Interest, Dividend, Misc. forms; pension and IRA distributions, 1095 health insurance form, etc. IMPORTANT NOTICE, EVEN IF YOU HAVE HAD YOUR TAXES PREPARED BY THEM IN PRIOR YEARS IT IS STILL VERY NECESSARY TO BRING YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY CARDS, LAST YEARS RETURNS, AND A PHOTO ID. Even if you do not have enough income to require you to file, the Internal Revenue Service recommends that you file in order to prevent identity theft and possible fraud. The Tax volunteers will be glad to help especially low-to moderate-income taxpayers and those who are 60 and older, but this service is offered to the Community. Questions? Vince Madison 462-1535
