Independence Weekend Point Arena
July 5 @ 4:00 pm - 11:00 pm
The Independence Weekend in Point Arena starts off Saturday, July 5, with at street fair at the Arena Cove. There will be music from, (in order of appearance) Original Ensemble/Blue Luke/La Gente SF/ The Slackers, with DJ Here and There Records as well as crafts and activities, a bouncy house, and a wide selection of food & drinks. The Fireworks show by Pyro Spectacular will begin at dark (sunset is 8:43pm) Parking for the street fair and fireworks will be available at City Hall for a $10. Port Road will be closed to through traffic and THE ROCK WALL WILL BE CLOSED. -Parking includes shuttle buses running from 3:00pm until 11:00pm! BRING FLASHLIGHTS and JACKETS (Please, NO PETS!!!)
On Sunday it the Point Arena Independence Day Parade starting at noon. This year’s theme: Peace Begins With Me
Parade travels along Main St/Hwy 1. Past years’ entries have included firetrucks, classic cars, floats, drum corps, dancers, horses, art cars, and lots of surprises
