Free Canine Health Care Clinic !

Friday, May 3rd, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Second Chance will be hosting a free canine health care clinic at the Fort Bragg Food Bank, 910 North Franklin St. Dogs belonging to low-income folks on the coast can receive rabies, kennel cough, parvo, distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, and leptospirosis vaccinations and microchip identifications. They can also get a free simple vet exam, flea/tick repellent, and glucosamine tablets. Additionally, free collars, sweaters, toys, etc., will be available, as well as sign-ups for free nail clips, puppy shots and spay/neuter and financial help with vet bills. The Mendocino County Care-A-Van will be there with the vaccines, and Barbara Weiss, DVM, will be the volunteer veterinarian. Dogs must be under control on a leash with each dog having its own handler. For more information, call 707-964-7770.
