Earth Day Festival Fort Bragg

Noyo Food Forest invites you to the 15th Annual Earth Day Festival at the Learning Garden on the Fort Bragg High School campus. Share in community spirit honoring Northern Pomo Land we call home.  This year’s festival will include live entertainment with Circus Mecca, Gwyneth Moreland and Morgan Daniel (of Foxglove), Boomdrums , Seaside String Sisters and 2nd Hand Grass featuring Gene Parsons.  Plus a plant sale, hands-on environmental activities, earth-friendly artisan crafts, local nonprofit booths, delicious food, upcycled T-shirt press, and the famous bicycle-powered smoothies – all with a focus on regenerative gardening and community farming.

Edwina Lincoln Tribal Elder/Cultural Advisor/Activist/Advocate
Edwina, an enrolled member of the Round Valley Indian reservation in Covelo, has been a lifelong fighter for Native American and environmental rights , most recently for the Jackson Forest POMO LAND BACK movement.

Redwood Forest Foundation, will be demonstrating methods and tools for burning garden waste to make stable biochar using a portable kiln, and discussing the benefits of biochar as both a climate solution and a great soil amendment.
